We aim to provide interesting, high-quality consigned women’s clothing and accessories in excellent condition, at a good price.

  • Stylish, Euro-influenced, casual women’s clothing
  • Sizes 0 to 1X, including maternity wear
  • Accessories, including purses, jewelry, scarves, belts, shoes, hats and perfumes

Seasonally and by appointment only.

Appointment times fill up quickly; please therefore note when to call (919-403-0495)

  • For fall and winter items, call during the last two weeks of July to schedule appointments in August, September, October and part of November.
  • For spring and summer items, call during the last two weeks of February to schedule appointments in March, April and May.

Please note:

  • Check your garments carefully for stains, holes, tears, missing buttons and hooks, etc. and fix what needs to be fixed.  (We’ll be checking them, too, of course.)
  • All items must be clean and free of wrinkles.
  • Clothing that smells of cigarette smoke, moth balls, or other strong odors cannot be accepted.  If there is a smoker in your home, please clean all items within 24 hours of bringing them to consign with us.
  • Hang each garment on its own hanger.  Due to increased numbers of consignors, we regret that we cannot accept bags or boxes of items for consideration.
  • We don’t accept designer knock-offs.  If we’re in any doubt, we’ll ask you to sign a verification that your designer item is authentic.
  • We don’t take Walmart, Kmart, Target or Old Navy brands.  (One possible exception would be Target’s designer line of clothing.)

We set the selling price and reserve the right to reduce any items at our discretion during the 60-day consignment period.  We hold end-of-season clearance sales twice yearly.

The Consignor receives 40% of the selling price.  Checks for sales totaling $25+ are mailed out monthly for items sold during the previous month.

If, per the Consignor Agreement, you elect to pick up unsold items, then it is your responsibility to do so within 2 weeks of the designated date.  Items not picked up become the property of Encore and may be donated or otherwise disposed of without further notice.

      Hello, Shirley!
I am currently taking in a few clothing items to get me through this transitional period of late winter to early spring. Specifically, I’m looking for items that offer warmth yet are more brightly colored than the typical winter wear. As long as they are seasonal appropriate I am absolutely interested in seeing your hats and bags. If you are interested in making an appointment to bring things in, please contact me via my email account – – or you can call at 919-403-0495. We’re closed Sundays and Mondays, open Tuesday-Friday 11am-6pm and open Saturday 10am-5pm.
Thanks so much for writing and I hope to hear from you!

My mother just passed away and we found many items that still have price tags and/or are in very good condition and seasonal (Gap, Ralph Lauren and Coldwater Creek). She also has a waist length mink coat in excellent condition. Are these items you would interested in? If so, can we schedule an appointment? If not, thank you for your time.

      Hi Jamie,
      Thanks for writing!
I’ll start with the fur jacket… I am certainly interested in seeing it. I suggest bringing it in at your earliest convenience. We can make an appointment via phone – 919-403-0495 – or email –
The clothes… I am interested in seeing them, yes. I am closing out my winter season soon (next month) and will have everything in the store 50% off, which would include your mother’s items if you choose to consign them in the very near future. If you have winter items that you really want to sell, this would be a good time to do it, just keep in mind that they will go into 50% discounts quite soon. For any Spring and Summer items, I will be taking phone calls/emails the last two weeks of February to set appointments for March, April and May to bring things in for consideration.
I hope this helps and that I hear from you soon.

Hello, I have half a dozen barely worn good quality pant/skirt and dress suits of my Mothers. (Alfred Dunner, John Roberts, Karen Scott, Henry Lee to name a few brands) plus a few cropped jackets, capris and skirts. Are you accepting new orders for fall, and if so would you be interested in seeing these items?

Many thanks, they are just too good to give away!
